Been feeding my pup this for over a year now and he loves it and so do I.

He’s 13, has food allergies and cannot have Chicken, lamp, pork - What does 90% of the pet food use as main protein - Chicken. Even when they call it something else! Which is frustrating.

To add to that - he’s a Diabetic and I needed food that was a single protein. Kangaroo specifically - which means low fat, reasonably low Carbs (for sugar conversion) has heaps of healthy veggies etc and kibble because he likes biscuits and things like Prime 100 is air dried food and hard to chew for him.

He’s been unbelievably healthy since having a more fixed and maintained diet. Im still yet to find a kibble-style, single-protein kangaroo biscuits with a reasonably low carb content usable for diabetes.

Do I recommend this for a diabetic? Only If you have a pet who cannot have chicken and is diabetic and your vet says so, most importantly.
If your pet can have chicken/no allergy then the prescription food is probably better.

We are trading slightly higher carbs by compensating higher insulin, because he can’t have chicken and turkey, pork etc are too high in carbs and fat content - a trade off to make for my case.

One big thing I’ve noticed though since he became diabetic. Regular, cheap, dog food is full of fat, high carb and not healthy, even some expensive stuff is so high in carbs and fat still.

So Pure-Life, thanks and also if you ever want to lower the carbs a bit more or create a diabetic kangaroo friendly”er” alternative that would be awesome.

I brought 1.8 kg of outback kangaroo. I separated the kibble from the freeze dried kangaroo. 33grams of freez dried kangaroo and sone of it was still quite wet.
33 grams I 1.8 kg bit of a joke ?
